Just because he took an interview doesn't mean he's gonna leave. Interview happen all the time.

Yep, but usually under different circumstances. If he wants to interview for other jobs then I don't see why we can't talk about other coaches. Two way street.
But taking said interview does not exactly display his desire to be in Ames and finish what he started - as you said.
True. I just find it funny everyone is jumping to the conclusion that interview/offer means he's gone. If he's the man he says he is and we've been led to believe, then I don't see him taking the offer unless monetary it's to big to pass up.
I think almost every coach in the country would take the interview, if you didn't you are stupid. I'm not gonna knock him for that.
Can ISU fans 'embrace' Chizik after this and the rumor during the season about not wanting to be at ISU? I cannot take it, lets start our search again...
My wish list (in no order):
Someone who will win
Gill
Loney
Ditka
That would be great, but the fact that he would interview means he is interested in the job at least on some level.

I expected Gene to leave someday. But not after a pair of bad seasons. And certainly not just a week after he demoted both coordinators (and fired 2 other assistants).
He's not gone yet, but he's got one foot out the door.
I think this part of your post, in bold, is open for conjecture, 22. I am still not convinced that Chiz did this alone. I could be wrong, though. I've been wrong before.

Did it alone or not - it's ultimately his call. We can split hairs if we want to - but the facts are the facts.
Who cares if Chizik leaves? Even though it hasn't been confirmed yet, I'm kind of hoping that he leaves. He is getting garbage recruits. Everyone here will probably use the excuse "it's hard to recruit well when your team is this bad." But that's wrong. Indiana is just as lousy as us right now in football, and they have a class 50 times better than ours coming in next year. Hell, even Duke is outrecruiting us and they haven't finished in higher than dead last in the ACC probably since I've been alive. Chizik doesn't know how to coach and I'd like to see him turn into Auburn's problem because I'd rather not have him be our problem anymore.
