I don’t know how any of that had to do with their ability on the court. I understand the overcoming trauma and hardships but it doesn’t mean Joe W can’t make a roster in the NBA.
And just because our teams season ended disappointingly it doesn't mean we won't continually point out how historically bad your team was.
One thing we will all know next year..... Regardless of roster changes..... the B1G will be overrated. The media will see to it.
We knew we weren't going to set the world on fire, whereas Iowa was poised to to such great things this year with everyone for the most part coming back with people having them get to the final four and yet they failed to. I would consider there season to be this:
Let's not pretend for a second that Prohm wouldn't still be here if you'd been even a double digit seed and knocked out of the first round the last couple of years. Not pointing at you directly but some on here want to believe that ISU has higher standards. If Prohm had exactly the same record as Fran has had the last 5 seasons he would still have the job. No question. I'm not a huge Fran defender but he has not done a horrible job. I'm as interested as anybody as to how he'll respond the next couple seasons without Garza. But he has earned the chance in my opinion.
Bring it up all you want lol we fired the person who caused us to hit this low. Iowa signed Fran to 8 more years of mediocrity.

Some Cyclone fans were thinking you would be a bubble team this year. LOL
If Prohm would've been double digit seeds in the NCAA tournament and knocked out the past two years, he would've made the NCAA tournament 5-6 years, made one Sweet 16, and won 2 Big 12 Tournament Championships. Not exactly a hot take that we wouldn't have fired him lol.
We fired him because he was historically awful as you and everyone else here knows. Fran on the other hand has been above average to good his entire time at Iowa and never more than that. Even with a senior led squad and a POY, he didn't accomplish close to what Prohm accomplished here, and we just fired him.
