Hawkeye March Madness Predictions

I haven’t seen KU play at all this year. Do they have a good post player? I know Udoka Azubuike moved on last year.

McCormack is their most physical guy. Self likes to play good bigs by denying them the ball through perimeter defense. I would guess Garza would get his 25 pts. I think KU might make JorBo and CMac cry like babies though.

This sounds like a game where Toussaint and Murray will have to step up. Along with Weiskamp maintaining his play over the last couple months.

Talent wise, Iowa can beat KU. Question will be how that talent is deployed. I think that is usually the question with Iowa this year.

Agreed. Fran has had some moments, good and bad this year. Hopefully he can be smart and play the best rotations possible, but I’m not too optimistic about that.

I put a chunk of change on Iowa to make the elite 8. I would be more than happy to lose it but I'm emotionally hedging on their performance.

I actually agree with you.
Oregon isn‘t that good, but they‘re pretty athletic and could present challenges for the Hawks. They should be able to win though. As for the third round, USC is an okay team with a great prospect in Mobley, but that’s about it. If Kansas was at full strength I think they would win, but that game should be interesting. However, if Kansas were to win they would get their guys back against Iowa making it a much tougher game for them. Then Gonzaga is Gonzaga, enough said.

I just dont think this KU team can put up enough points to go very deep.
