Anything less than the Elite 8 for EIU is a horrible finish. They have a first team senior All American at Center, the point guard holds the school record for assists and made 3 pointers and is in his 5th season. The coaches kid is a Jr, the kid from Muscatine is junior, the kid from Indiana is a redshirt soph. Mad fran's younger son is in his 2nd year in the system and is 3 weeks younger than Haliburton, who played 2 years at ISU and is now in the running for Rookie of the Year in the NBA.
Mad Fran has been at EIU for 11 years now, he has never won the conference nor the conference tournament. His has won a total of 3 March madness games at the school. And has NEVER made it out of the first weekend, but somehow just received an 8 year extension.
I think make it through the first weekend and then lose their next game in the sweet 16.

Even when they sucked ass as a power conference in men's basketball they were overhyped.

I was scoffed at a bit saying there was no way Iowa beats Oregon. They’re just better.
I’m still sitting very pretty in my pool actually. Had Ohio state Iowa Illinois all losing either second round or third round. Now just need LSU to knock out Michigan.
