I thought Chizik was a great hire and Fred was a stupid hire so I'm probably not the one to ask. I'd much rather have TJ than some other options mentioned but he wasn't my top choice

I liked Campbell. Didn't like Rhoads. I was OK with Prohm IIRC. Liked Dresser. Unless it's a huge name it's basically a guess
Yet you bashed on 2 assistant coaching hires for Iowa when like you said it is a guess? Seems to me you shouldn't throw stones in your glass house when your AD looks like he hired a guy before he fired a guy, is going to pay upwards of 11-12 mil in buyouts and salaries to get the guy, all because it is his buddy.
In all fairness a lot of these hires are a leap of faith. Unless someone has a proven track record at the P5/P6 level you just don’t know
I'm thinking ISU would have been better off with Jamie's 3rd choice. Paying 10-12 Mil to hire your buddy isn't a good look.
