Zactly...and just enough to ensure they stayed in the game. Was Hartzell at UNI with Mac got hired away?
Hartzell knew that wasn't over and back and you didnt ... imagine how much other stuff he knows because he's a certified official and you're not.![]()
I said I don't have the rule book mesmorized. But i do know fouls not getting called correctly.
And in my defense both announcers were adamant it was over and back.
Just got back from the game. To answer your question simply - YES!
26-6. My head hurts from all the yelling at the official and I did very little of it.
For most of the game they were fine, but it seemed around with 10 minutes left in the game, they started calling ticky tack fouls on us, while brackin and VB were getting worked down low. I still can't believe this.
They never got the ball down low, how were they getting worked? The one time Brackins had a contested shot he got the call...
I was more peeved at calls on us.
You could be an official at this game. I said I did very little yelling, it was the rest of Hilton. You were yelling at the wrong people then... Hard to draw fouls on jump shots...
I hate it when people assume, after someone posts a thread critical of officiating after a loss, the officiating is the ONLY reason for the loss and then make posts saying that officiating had absolutely no impact on the game. Every rational person should understand that officiating, whether good or bad, ALWAYS influences the game. But, every rational person also understands that officiating, no matter how poor, will never be the sole reason for one team losing.
If someone argues the officiating was not consistent with what the rules of the book say or what precedences take place on the court - come up with a detailed criticism of that argument. Stop making the assumption that just because someone calls the officiating poor they believe that officiating is the only factor of why a team lost.
One can be critical and rational at the same time.
