The Fran fade

I don't think he will make it in the pros. I give Luka most of the credit. He has a tireless work ethic. He deserves most of the praise.
No one is denying his work ethic but the question was who was more helpful Fran or Frank.
I just didnt think his game needed that much work offensively if he wants to be a pro, I thought the defensive side was the weakness.

Yeah they've had a few "meh" seasons, but have also had two 11 win and one 12 win season since 2014.
The program argument is always so pointless. It can be looked at in 5, 10 , 20, 40 year periods or historical and you can come up with entirely different conclusions. Lot's of times it's a result of the age of the person doing the comparisons.

I’m not saying Iowa is historically a better program than Indiana lol I’m not stupid. The past 4-5 years Iowa basketball has been quite a bit better than Indiana basketball, it’s just true.
Results might agree with you, but on a national level I don't think so. The way the programs are perceived etc. Indiana while down is still perceived better than a program that hasn't sniffed the 2nd weekend of the tournament this century. Prestige goes a long way.

So to simplify what you said, TCU hasn’t been very good lately and Iowa State has been. Historically it’s TCU>ISU and it’s not close. Same thing applies with Iowa and Indiana. Thanks ;)
How about the argument becomes not who has had the better program, but rather which way the programs are trending?

Iowa State FB > TCU FB

Iowa BB > Indiana BB

Fair?

I feel they have both contribute to his success. The Murray Twins and Garza both have fathers that care a great deal about their basketabll success and have the resources available to make that happen.

I get it, it's a tough question for you.

That’s absolutely true. Crazy that a program like that can’t be as good as MSU has been these past 10 years.
Personally I think firing Tom Crean after having a down year was a problem, but it just goes to show that the grass is not always greener.

Crean went 17-15, 20-14, 27-8 and 18-16 his last 4 seasons at Indiana.

Whole different set of expectations there as that stretch would not get you fired at most other places but it was more than one down year.

Yep. And before the 17-15 year, he made back to back Sweet 16 appearances, one of them as a 1 seed that finished ranked #4 in the final AP poll.
