I’ve never understood the notion of downplaying a win against a rival. Is it because ISU hasn’t gotten over the hump the last few years? The whole “we just don’t care that much about it” is just not true and every other rivalry game would agree. It’s pretty important for recruiting as well. Iowa fans don’t say that after Wisconsin beats us in football because we wish we were as consistently good as those guys. I would take a win over Wisconsin and a loss to ISU every single time because conference>non conference, but I still really want to beat ISU lol.
Uh is that what I said? Lol I would much rather play in a conference championship than beat Iowa State.
He’s very athletic and already is strong. He’s still a little raw and would like to see his perimeter game improve, but with other top players being guards on that team it’s not an issue. Very gifted though, looks like a man amongst boys at times. I’d say he’s the third best player on Waukee right now.
And i believe hes a couple years younger than the other 2 you reference. I don't generally follow hs basketball but it was brought to my attention that they had top 5 player in his class and did not know that. I'm shocked they aren't undefeated with this new information
Yes. The state tournament likely comes down to Waukee vs Cedar Falls. Waukee has played a tougher schedule and fully expect them to win. I think Cedar falls has 4 d1 players, but they are all mid-major. Waukee likely has 4-5 d1 players but they are all p5 worthy.
Definitely best duo ever but i don't remember them having as deep of roster. You would know better than me though
They also had a walk on at Iowa State, Bubu Palo. I believe he eventually earned a scholarship his junior or senior year.
That Ames team was way better. Sandfort is just OK. Billew is a project. Devries is a stud though

I was kind of meh on sandfort last year in state title game but that was admittedly 1 game i saw and i never know how guys will develop at that age which is why i don't really follow. Is it likely that Billew leaves the state i assume?
He’s a top 5 recruit. He probably goes blue blood. Offer from Kansas and interest from Kentucky.
