Wow, big difference between Theo Wirth and Elm Creek. We were at -21 this morning and our therm-o-meter registered a low of -23 overnight. Definitely more comfortable as we didn't have the 10-15mph winds this morning unlike yesterday.
while I don’t like the results of the MBB team, I think I’m more sick about how several of our fans are acting.
I was going by Mpls which is airport, checked Crystal airport, much closer to me, and it was respectable -20 last night.
Damn, too warm now though, likely to be riffraff out on MY paths this afternoon. Going to be back to pounding pavement again to avoid the close encounters of the path kind. I'll miss my private woods. It was like the old days before they added all of the bike trails and groomed ski trails every night. Used to be just Boxster trudging around in his old Sorel boots.
MIL & SIL (who is her in home caregiver) got their first shots today, will get the second on the 6th. That's one less thing for us to worry about!
Cold weather just gave me a flashback to winter 1974. Was using my newly minted degree in landscape architecture to drive a fuel delivery truck in Manchester. So cold. And so bored after fours years of ISU social life. Do remember the icy cold #2 fuel oil and diesel fuel with the paraffin jelling on the surface as you pumped it from the big storage tank into the truck.

Hobby lobby has mostly female customers from my experience.
According to my phone weather app it's says a low of -24 for Tuesday. I'm guessing that means sometime after midnight tonight as it seems like it is going to start trending up.
Daughter was informed of her financial aid results today. So I checked the oldest son's to see what he received, told that they would be available at end of July. WTF ISU. Way to bend over the returning students by locking them into things and then telling them right before school starts if they will have available funding. My son will be ok, but I'm sure there are some students out there that depend on what they will received to see if they are full time, part time, or no time. IMO, its totally unacceptable.
Back in my day, we were expected to go to class no matter what.
Kids these days have it too easy.
