They are pros. They are free to find different teams or do what they want. A college player isn't. Are you seriously trying to say a college player and an NFL player are on similar platforms? One can go elsewhere pretty much at will, one is stuck for a year at least. Besides the whole financial differences of the two situations. Horrible comparison.

And I don't assume that all of the coaches, staff, athletic administration knew about everything that came out this past Summer.

Pros actually have less options on where they decide to go if they get drafted. Then they are basically forced to sign a four year deal with a team option for a fifth year.

All the strength staff had to know about it if they were involved at all with the S&C program and none were fired

Seriously??? Coaches didn't know Doyle was racist? It was in reports given to them from a year or two ago. They knew the study happened so they knew there were complaints. They have to be living under a rock to have no clue about any of it.

Davis is still the last Iowa coach to take the Hoks to a Sweet 16. I believe he never lost a first round NCAA Tourney game at Iowa. Letting Prohm go right now would not be worse.

Yeah, it’s amazing how dumb they think Kirk is. They all brag up yhe Iowa way. But ignore that they paid the assistant coach of the year over a million dollars to be a fall guy.

could you imagine having a head coach of your flagship program, whom you pay over 4 million dollars a year, not knowing what happens in the weight room? Imagine not knowing what your assistant coaches are doing in meetings?

the racism is indefensible in itself, but then to find out a coach ridiculed a player with a learning disability, but being ok with it.

Firing Davis was the wrong move. You won't get any disagreement from me on that.

I'm on record saying that some of the things Doyle did and said are unacceptable and he deserved to be punished. At the same time, I personally know people that do not think he's racist and never witnessed anything racist. I don't think it's as obvious and apparent as you think it is. That's the part where you are assuming without actually knowing for certain. I hope it goes to court so we can all know more and not have to assume people are guilty or not guilty. I'm all for punishing those that knew and did nothing. I'm not all for punishing people based on the assumption that they knew and did nothing.

Iowa will never let it go to court unfortunately

I doubt it goes to trial. It will get drug out for a year or two. Then kirk will resign and the case will get settled. Kirk wants time to let things die so his kids and SIL will land on their feet somewhere. Right now they are slightly toxic but that will fade if they just keep treading water and pushing it off; then finish with a DND with the settlement.

Third bump for @NorthEnder because this doesn't make sense at all. Why are you saying former basketball players have a voice but former football players don't? That seems pretty disgusting IMO
