We're all biased towards our teams and our conferences.I would totally agree with you on this. The problem is this place is filled with 95% unreasonable ISU fan who claim Big10 West sucks, it is easy, if ISU played in the Iowa schedule they would win the West all the time, and on and on. So yeah I used data to show it isn't easy, and in some ways it is tougher than the Big12.

Yeah Purdue, like Iowa State, is a tough place to coach college football at. We're incredibly blessed to have found CMC because we'd still be a revolving door of coaches and a doormat of P5 football had we not landed him.I thought Purdue's coach was a slam dunk hire and expected more than we've gotten. He's into Paul Rhoads territory now and hindsight should have maybe thought about that Louisville job harder.
Purdue has a lot more population within a few hours, so they should be able to get a few more dudes.Yeah Purdue, like Iowa State, is a tough place to coach college football at. Are you comparing Kirk's situation he walked into to Campbell's? LolIowa went 3-8 in 1998 which was Fry's last year as head coach.

Purdue has won 19 games under Brohm in 4 years lolPurdue has been way more successful than ISU pre 2020. Not even in the same conversation.

They've won the B1G like once in the last 50+ years. Tiller was a heckuva coach but you're going back into years where most people weren't alive.Purdue has been way more successful than ISU pre 2020. Not even in the same conversation.

8-4 leads to ho hum bowl games, be that Iowa or ISU. Camping world bowl, alamo bowl, pinstripe bowl, liberty bowl, taxslayer bowl this is where 8 win Big10 and Big12 teams go.
It would be nice to be able to lose 2 conference games and make the conference championship game like in the Big12. That has happened 5 times in the 6 years the Big12 went to a championship game. In the Big10 West/Legends if you lose 2 conference games there is only a 20% chance you make the championship game. It has only happened 2 times in the last 10 years since they went to a championship game. In the Big10 West you have to be so much more perfect to make a championship game, no slip ups, unlike the Big12 who welcomes 2 times losers all the time in it's championship game.

Well you said pre 2020 like they had been good up until this year or somethingThey also have an all time winning record, 10 bowl wins and has won 8 conference championships since the last time ISU won one. ISU is on a better trajectory, but Purdue's football program has been on a different level than ISU's football program.
The all time win thing will always be weird to me.They also have an all time winning record, 10 bowl wins and has won 8 conference championships since the last time ISU won one. ISU is on a better trajectory, but Purdue's football program has been on a different level than ISU's football program.
I wouldn't necessarily say way more successful. Since 2000 they had one more 9 win season than we had (because you threw out our 2020 season just now for some reason). We've had one less 8 win season than them and two more 7 win seasons. We've also both had plenty of years in there which we've won 4 or less games.Purdue has been way more successful than ISU pre 2020. Not even in the same conversation.
Are you always this boring?
