NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

I said the exact same thing yesterday during the game----just before Hill took off for his longest catch & run of the game!! The guy is very special as is Kelce and the guy getting the ball to them!

He probably gives up 2-3 yards about 4 times a game by juking around a bit - but the one play from yesterday makes all of them worth it. As long as he is not giving up first downs and fumbling by the extra effort - the risk/reward of trying to do so is significantly in his favor.

KC has had bad luck with the OL all year but have managed to make things work. Hopefully it doesn't catch up to them in he SB. First hit were the opt outs, Duvernay-Tardiff and Niang, then signing Osemele and him going down, then Scwhartz, maybe the best RT in the game getting hurt and being out much longer than they initially though. Now Fischer. You could tell it was achilles as soon as you saw him grab it. This is also why I found it funny when commentators were saying "what's wrong with the Chiefs?" Uh they have a patchwork OL and get teams best shot every week because of being defending champs.

Yeah, I would bet Sneed is back. Kid is definitely a stud and an amazing find by the Chiefs. Also hoping they can get Watkins and Gay back.

I’m guessing Gay is out for the SB, but Sneed comes back. Wishing at least as his blitzing has been huge the last 5-6 games.

Yep I think the only way the Chiefs lose this game is if the OL just can't hold up. I think Reid will scheme it up a bit to help them out and then also hopefully Mahomes toe is a bit better in 2 weeks and he will be able to run around okay.

Spags was dialing up some nice pressure. Allen was so elusive. Compared to him, Brady is a statue. Predict Chiefs get two picks and 4+ sacks.

The Chiefs defense is night and day much better than it was just 3 seasons ago before they hired Spags. Remember that AFC championship game where Brady was just shredding the secondary and they couldn't make a stop without committing a penalty? Just about every team that season seemed to be getting chunk yardage with ease on the defense and the offense would need to score 40+ almost every game to win. Fast forward a couple seasons and they have really done a great job adding some key pieces to the secondary and scheming to play to their strengths on defense.

I would love to see CMC use some of these trick plays that KC does with Kelce and Hill in our offense with Kolar and Milton. Bring them in motion and get the defense thinking 1 thing then a little shovel pass to the TE or catch a WR or RB on a quick sideline play like they have been fooling so many lately with by basically running the same play but lining up everyone in different formations to disguise it.

Tony Romo is the worst announcer I have ever heard what a self centered person

I actually have found him to be a very good announcer and very insightful. I am amazed how he has a knack to call what play he thinks would work well before a team snaps it and many times it's as if he had just called the play in himself. I remember the 1st game I watched that he was on I was skeptical about if he would.be any good but the more games I've heard him call I'd take him and Nance over Aikman and Buck if I had to pick between the 2.

I'd be ok with that! Would mean Chiefs likely win.

There's a reason dude is in his ?10th super bowl and shooting for his 7th tilte. And Bucs have some nice pieces. I'll believe it when I see it.
