Indiana sure as hell didn't deserve it. Coastal had a pretty good argument though. They would've wasted Oregon.

Technically speaking CMC has never won a Big12 conference championship. Sure he has the RSCC thing you keep speaking of, but he has 0 actual conference championship. Fry does have 0 RSCC, but he does have 3 real Conference Championship.
I wish this site let me disagree with the first part of your post, but then agree with the second part.

Those are the only two "real" championship seasons. Because those two are the only two that played everyone and came out on top(no ties) at the end of the season. The only reason ISU has an asterisk is because we are now required to play an "extra" game to satisfy the CFP committee. Did it not take a last second field goal at hysterical Kinnick stadium to beat Michigan in 1985 to get that top spot? You think they beat Michigan a second time in a CCG on a neutral field?
Had Danny Mac not choked in 04' and 05', winning the north would have been equivalent to what captain Kirk did at Iowa in 15'.
So if you ask me......what Hayden did back then against the monsters of the midway was much more impressive than anything the captain has done. And of course it goes without saying comparing CMC against any other recent coach at ISU.
LOL, so now actually winning your conference isn't a "real conference championship". Why don't you go over to the OU site and explain to them that they didn't actually win the Big12 this year.
Hold on here, so what "counts" in this example. I'm told Fry winning the Big10 didn't "count". Did OU winning the Big12 "count"?
These rules you guys make up are so dumb. I mean you could just realize you had a really good year and made the Big12 conference Championship game, but fell short of winning the conference. You call Iowa fans delusional, but I have never ever once heard an Iowa fan claim that Iowa won the Big10 Regular Season Conference Championship in 2015.
