BBBWWWWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHA! eiu gets dropped FROM Nashville!

You do realize that ISU got the last at large spot for the NY6 bowl games right? For the committee it came down to Indiana, ISU or Coastal for that last spot and who to rank #10 and send them to the Fiesta bowl. If they would have put Indiana there, I'd be saying they threw Indiana a bone. You guys are getting way too butthurt of the term "throw a bone" here. I have said several time it was the right call the committee made, and they threw the bone to the correct team.

This is another problem with hoknation.

No one, I mean no one, knows more than them about college athletics.

Absolutely inconceivable that the CFP committee could look past the wacky year, plethora of statistics, records, etc and see that ISU was a Top 10 team, which it was and which it has proven it is and realize they deserved a spot in the NY6 games from a talent standpoint and no, they were not the least qualified of the NY6.

Hok will never understand this nor acknowledge it. It is most likely a genetic thing.

Wow, ISU goes into next year with 3 players in the Heisman conversation?! Someone pinch me. Can count schools that have experienced this ever, on one hand!

There was a whole thread about it on here and that’s what my cyclone friends were telling me too.
So why not go quote them and their opinions? Do you want us to lump soon to be felon Levi's takes, and claim them as Hok gospel?

I saw someone else mention this online. Past 3 (or more) loss teams in NY6 bowls.
2015: Ole Miss (9-3), Georgia Tech (10-3)
2016: Ole Miss (9-3)
2017: Florida St (9-3), USC (9-3), Auburn (8-4)
2018: Auburn (10-3)
2019: Florida (9-3), LSU (9-3), Washington (10-3), Texas (9-4)
2020: Virginia (9-4), Wisconsin (10-3)
2021: Iowa State (8-3), Florida (8-3), UNC (8-3)

So EVERY single year of the CFP there have been 3 or 4 loss teams in the NY6 bowls.

Looking at this from a Hok perspective (do NOT do this for too long and make sure you have someone to help you pull out of it) I see the real problem.

KFs angle at getting the worlds wimpiest schedule and racking up 'gaudy' 10 win seasons is exposed. It's almost like they are putting the best teams in the best bowls, not the best records. KF is building bicycles and they are buying motorcycles.

AP poll matters now? You were talking win totals earlier and Iowa only won 6 games

When have I ever said AP poll doesn’t matter in the context of ranking a singles years teams vs each other? ISU will finish higher in the AP poll than Iowa this year, they are the better team this year. The AP poll does not rank the 2020 ISU team vs the 2009 Iowa team, there is no ranking for that. Please tell me you are capable of understanding this simple concept.

So if Campbell finishes 9th or better in the AP poll he accomplished something Hayden Fry never could right?

Sure that is fair. What is up for debate is saying that a couple spot higher finish in the AP poll in 2020 is a better year than winning an actual real Conference Championship in the 80’s. If you wanna say AP finish is better that’s cool, I’d prefer a Conference title myself. Making absolute statements on it though like you have is just dumb.

you absolutely were not the least qualified of the NY6 teams. Oregon was by far one of the worst ever.

Yeah and I never said ISU was the least qualified. I don’t know why it upsets ISU fans that they got the last NY6 at large spot anyway. I mean it was between ISU, Indiana and Coastal and they got the bone thrown to them, and rightfully so IMO.

Iowa State won the Regular Season Conference Championship and will finish higher than Hayden ever did

Hayden won 3 actual conference championship. CMC has won 0 Conference Championship. CMC will finish higher in the AP poll than Fry ever did though, I’ll agree with that. Heck what the hell, I’ll even let you count your fake championship. Let’s talk when CMC get 2 more of those fake championship, then he will be in Frys orbit at least.

Probably has nothing to do with you continually using "throw them a bone" line.

Campbell has a tougher road than Fry. The schedule ISU faces every year proves that.
