Iowa Football Recruiting

Oh if they said it then it must be true. Condon is a hack who hates Iowa State lol

Anyone could see Purdy pooped himself, that doesn’t mean he is a bad QB. It happens, ISU isn’t nowhere near a Big12 Championship game without Purdy that much is for sure.

What I don't understand is why you guys hate Purdy. I know it's because the hype he gets but you guys don't seem to hate Hall who gets more hype than him
Purdy isn’t as deserving of the hype. When the lights are the brightest, he typically folds. He’s a very good QB otherwise.

Purdy just needs to learn to throw the ball away when there is no one open. He throws it up for grabs a lot. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. That last play was beyond terrible. Iowa's punter had better looking punts than that last throw.

Purdy is a good QB no doubt about it. There is no doubt that Purdy pooped his pants Saturday vs OU as Miller and Condit said. These aren’t mutually exclusive things.

Petras had diarrhea most of the year then. Even against all those great losing teams they played.

I don't think I called out anyone's QB, just thought it was odd timing to give Iowa crap their QB. We are all aware that the Oregon State kid had a bad season.

Congrats on your historic season, but even in a down year for them OU wins the Big 12.

Hmmm, OU is down and rated 6th nationally. Interesting take, no, idiotic take and weak troll, really weak.

But we will run with the historic season hoopla, until next year when we do it again. Trust you will make your annual appearance to comment again.

Kind of a weird flex. The 2 biggest games of Purdy's career were this OK game and last year's bowl game. Yikes.

Oh you hoks are so myopic (sorry for using 3 syllables).

Those are 2 of probably a dozen huge games Purdy has played in. See, when you play good teams it creates exciting games that lots of people are interested in, even people outside of your fanbase. So when ISU plays a top 10 WV or OSU or OU or when ISU travels to Texas to earn a right to the championship game, those are big games.

Just for comparison sake, Iowa playing a fading Wisconsin or pathetic Nebraska or Penn State is not a big game. The closest you had this year was NW and well, we know how that went.

Put another way - Purdy has won more big games than Iowa has played in the last 2 years.

Cmon @legendhawk - that is a benji response, you can articulate your position better than that.

Every game is important. That's why I said "2 biggest games". You cannot deny Saturday's game was the biggest game of Purdy's career. It was an opportunity to win a conference championship and those don't come along very often. The 2 best defenses he played last year were not Big 12 teams and he didn't fair particularly well.

Saturday was by far the biggest game in ISU history. It was their chance to win their first conference championship in over 100 years.

You mean, wait, that it is harder to move the ball against a good defense than a bad defense? OMG, no wonder teams score less against better defenses!

Would have been lost without you.

And ISU wouldn't have had a chance if he didn't make some incredible plays with his legs and some incredible throws.

ISU loses that game 45-3 with Petras at QB. Maybe only 3-4 QBs in the country that could have played any better than Purdy did.

So I don't get your point ,which is rather comforting. Were Purdy's numbers bad against OU because he played poorly or because he played a stellar defense?

Was Petras' 44 QBR against Purdue because of Purdue's stellar defense?
