Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Same

The back to back road losses to UW and Minnesota in his last year as Iowa coach were the most painful basketball I have ever sat through.

Lickliter basketball was to use every second of the shot clock and then hoist a desperation three. It was awful basketball and that doesn't even include his terrible recruiting.

Dang dude. I even watched all of the games from the Lickliter era as painful as that was. This is sad.

I suffered through all the Lickliter games as well, it was brutal. I turned on the ISU vs KState game for a few minutes in the 2nd half, watched for 10 min. and though OMG both these teams are Lickliter level teams.

According to Bart Torvik, ISU is not favored to win a conference game this season. They are favored to win home games against Jackson St and Chicago St and that is it.

Won't be able to afford Prohm's buyout is what my source is saying.

They have to win at least 4 or 5 conference games. I mean even Lickliters most pathertic team did that.

Granted I only watched ISU play vs Iowa, but I just don't see any players that you say, wow this kid is gonna be really good in a year or two. Also I'm wondering what the heck happend to Conditt? Is he hurt, or has he just regressed something terrible under Prohm?

My source says the same. There is a ray of hope though, my source also says Prhom wants out of Ames in a bad way and might go back to a Murray St. type school after this season. Pollard might be lucky again ala McD.

Don’t know, do know that JP was supposed to have some emergency cash stocked somewhere. Don’t know if the new learning center and Covid chews that up. JP said we are 30 MM short this year. He usually is conservative with numbers so I would think we will be better than that. Not sure what Prohms buyout is though.

Not sure what happened to Conditt. He played 3 minutes last night with an already shortened bench. He was supposed to be the next Lard, which I guess he has become.

What conference teams do they beat to get to 4 or 5 wins?

Even if they sweep the rest with TCU and KSU that is still only 3.

I don't know? I'm just saying that even super pathetic Lickliter teams got to 4 wins in conference.

What if I told you a team that got blown out by a D II squad, who was playing at less than full strength and without their head coach on the bench, would stroll in to Hilton and shoot 4/23 from 3 point range, turn it over 17 times and shoot 44% from the floor and still beat the Clones by 9 points?

Big 12 is probably the worst it has been in a long time.
