Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

It was a great weekend to be a Hawkeye. Basketball team wiped the floor against two bottom dwellers and then the Football team got the Bull back for the first time since 2015.

The real basketball season starts on Saturday with Gonzaga and then the conference games.

It was nice to get a quality win against UNC just to get tested before the game against Gonzaga.

I wish we had more than 2 high major quality non conference games but such is life when the Gavitt Games got canned and we can only schedule 7 non conference games this season.

B1G should be a doozy this season.

I'm sure it has been pointed out to you before but why Iahawks and rebel etc. do you come here to post on a cyclone board as to how great Iowa is? Yeah we all get it you have a decent football team that might be better if you had an even average quarterback and an excellent basketball team. Go to Hawkeye nation or whatever Hawkeye board you choose and slather each other up. I really don't see cyclone fans going to Hawkeye boards to talk about our really good football team. Not saying it never happens but the level at which you guys post here is just stupid.

I have always had a tremendous amount of respect for Nick Suss as a college basketball reporter. I feel like he is a guy that really does his homework.
