Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

You're an idiot. This all started from @Cyinthenorth saying no program keeps more than a couple guys around for 4-5 years. Wisconsin basketball disagrees.

To think you cant build a program with 4-5 year guys is stupid. Look at all the mid majors every year that make the round of 32 or sweet 16 with guys that are not good enough for the NBA.
Yes, thank you for providing one example across a sport involving over 300 Division I programs. I am convinced it is normal and commonplace for programs to be built this way now.

You all act like building a program ranked #3 in the nation with 4 or 5 year players is a bad thing.

This is good for McCaffrey. Frankly, it's not surprising. Based on where the program was heading a few years ago I feared for his life. I am guessing he found a new level of motivation after a few 'meetings' around the dinner table with Margaret.

And so far he has built a team. A program is when you have waves of players come through and success is sustained. Fran right now is riding Garza.

Was the topic not about building a program without NBA players? When Iowa State was good we didn't play good defense, but we had NBA guys on our roster.

We have 1 player from ISU probably making more than every player from iowa over the last 5 years combined, regardless of their job.

I will grant though that iowa players tend to hold their own on getting twitter attention.

This rebel guy is the slowest of the trolls so far. At least we knew screw the clowns is/was one of us making the hawkeyes look bad. Rebel is at that level.

Maybe you can if you play defense. Iowa doesn't do that.
Wisconsin (and similarly Virginia both) play defense and a methodically slow and calculated offense.
Comparing Iowa to Wisconsin is laughable. Iowa gets up and down the floor and doesn't play defense.

What is your definition of a "few years ago"?

The two things clear in the last 12 hours is you are very cranky and you have no clue what the word hypothetical means.

you're the Igno ramous that takes every angle but addressing the actual question around here.

And I have already admitted that dealing with trolls with a mental age of 12 like you is annoying, I think I speak for every Cyfanatic on here in that regard. It is frustrating having trying to have adult conversations with piss ants like you dwelling here.

Try and keep up. Style of play wasnt the starting point of the conversation. It was this post:

I was going to say, nothing wrong with it exactly, but just completely unheard of in the modern era of college basketball. Teams might have 2 or 3 upperclassmen at a time, but to have 7 guys last that long in a program is rare.
