Kstate Baylor

@clonedude @jsb time to panic boys and girls.

But I was told that the Texas players would all still give it their all the rest of the season and not throw in the towel now that there wasn't anything to play for? Not being able to go to the title game, and their coach probably being shown the door was only going to make them try harder.

ISU is still going to the championship ( I just gotta believe! )..... but don't act like the Texas players are really going to be giving the same effort the rest of the season.

Lmao, Nobody has said any of that. Most are smart enough to understand Texas doesn’t have to give it their all to beat KU. What does KSU and KU have to play for at this point?

Texas can beat KU with their practice squad, get a grip.

urban Meyer to UT seems to be all rumor and no smoke...

I actually bet Tommy returns to UT. Why? Well who do you replace him with? Are they going to sell their fanbase on the Coastal Carolina guy, or Louisiana coach?

The Cincinnati coach maybe, but he could be going to Ann Arbor.

Oh - and UT will be giving both Kansas and KState a beat down, those teams suck. Talent level is not close.

If he really wants MSU fans to hate him he'll take the U of M job. He wouldn't even take the interview for MSU.

it’s at once funny, amazing and sad seeing kids doing this the last week or so—and know they don’t realize that the NFL is going to see it as “quitting on their teammates”.

Opting out before the season for health reasons, or to prepare for the NFL? No problem. Drop out before the end of the season? You’re quitting.

If you can't beat 'em, take your ball and go home.

And I hate how guys elect to not play in their team's bowl game now too. Drives me nuts. I was so glad that Montgomery and Butler decided to play in the Alamo Bowl.

Something tells me we will get a bowl opponent (USC, A&M, Oregon or someone like that), with about 10 people "opting out for health concerns for the NFL"

No joke if I was running a program I wouldn't let the kids who do that travel to the bowl game. Give that to a redshirt kid, scout team member, or someone else who actually gives a **** about the broader and collective team.

The sad thing about it is I think a lot of it is bad advice from handlers or family friends. If you're a kid and you have 3 college games left, you can never get that back - and you could honestly get injured just as easily at an NFL pre camp in the summer, training camp, or a combine so what's the difference. I'm of the opinion our bowl games actually helped Montgomery and Butler in the eyes of NFL draft scouts and GM personnel. To me that would be a big deal in giving a kid $2MM+, when there were stakes on the line, you still wanted to suit up for your team - it is a testament of character.
