Right, but he needed to get more carries. To beat NW, you have to run the ball.
Yes, but what if Northwestern has a good run defense? You have to switch it up if things aren't working. There's a word for doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Right. Brian Ferentz kept passing it and expected a different result.

Thank you. Most Iowa fans will admit Hall is better then them because it’s true. Hall is a top 5 RB in the country right now. Goodson and Sargent have been a good duo and the run game has been drastically improved so far which is a big thing Iowa fans wanted.
If 100% of Iowa fans dont think Hall is better they're idiots. If 100% of ISU fans dont think someone like Linderbaum is better than his counterpart they're idiots.

Yeah I'm torn by it. I think you just have to tip your cap to Northwestern. They've obviously proved they're the best in the Big 10 West and are going to go undefeated before playing Ohio State.

Iowa fans thinking Goodson is better than Hall would be like Iowa State thinking Purdy is better than Fields.

NW is good, but they usually play a lot of close games too because their offense isn't that great. I could see them losing a game or two yet.

I highly doubt they lose 1 let alone 2 against this competition.

@ Michigan State
@ Minnesota
vs. Illinois

The only game I see a loss coming would be @ Minnesota and the Gophers are going to have a tough time scoring on NW's defense like they did with Iowa's. Minnesota's rushing defense is also awful while NW's running game is pretty good.

I’m still holding out hope they drop three straight.

The Big10 West is the best conference in college football by a large margin, and the Big12 is behind the ACC Coastal and Pac12 North.

I said it before the year started that I wished Iowa played in an easy conference like the Big12, and it looks like it is playing out that way. This really isn't even debatable as I'm sure this site would never question the Sagarin rating as it is the go to Gold standard here.
Hey guys, wanna know how ****** college football metrics are this season? Look no further.

I’m told that Sagarin is the gold standard of metrics from posters here. Just be happy you play in such an easy conference and leave it at that.
Ok. Seriously, are you pushing these messed up rankings because you're trying to prove a point about Sagarin or because you actually believe them?

Iowa St has a better offense. Northwestern has a better defense. Tie breaker is special teams. That doesn't usually turn out well for you.

Northwestern's offense is average at best. That's the unit Iowa State shuts down and makes this a 2 TD game. Is a special teams breakdown possible? Sure but it would need to be huge just to get the game back to toss up.

Northwestern is undefeated in the toughest division in all of college football. ISU has two losses in an easy conference. I don’t see how you can argue ISU is even close to what Northwestern has done.

I've was told countless times after the Purdue game that this season doesn't count. Is Iowa the only team in their conference that is playing exhibition games?
