I can't wait for the "this football season doesn't count" guys to explain why the bball season is different and matters.
That's what happens when you're a basketball school like Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Iowa, etc... Good football years are gravy, but it's a dying sport and March Madness is way more fun than bowl season.
And of course, saying what doesn't need to be said.....if Iowa was 2-0 and had dominated in both games, Hassel and other TavernHoks would be beating their chests about how they're on their way to a B1G championship for the first time in forever.
We don't know how good or bad MSU is, in their first lose to Rutgers, they had 7 turnovers, that with a new coaching staff. Saturday they went into Anne Arbor and defeated the 13th ranked team in the country. MSU threw for 323 yards and ran for another126 yards. They had zero turnovers. Now they did give up 452 yards to UM, but Michigan has a better offense than EIU.
Critical game for both teams.
Good luck convincing recruits this doesn’t matter.
The big problem is Iowa went away from their best weapon after the first quarter - punting so the NW returner had to look in the sun.
