All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Lol my name is not Brandon no. That kujawa guy isn't all there mentally as I'm sure you can tell
I’m not sure you are either lol. I kid I kid.
However if you did graduate from college you would know it’s about academics not athletics.

This academic smack talk is only being brought up because the B10 shot its wad way to early. Its comical.

Why would it be an asterisk season for Iowa State?
You only play 2 games in September and the TCU game may be in doubt already. Matt Campbell (aka Mr October) has a terrible September record. You catch a break there. You miss playing a team you’ve lost 5 straight to, break there. Any rankings you receive would be higher than a normal season, * there. Justin Fields was the Heisman favorite, that’s an *. Great that some teams can try and play but these are not normal circumstances and won’t be a normal season. Therefore *

Academics I believe were brought up because the stupid “flagship” university argument. Sorry to both sides but Iowa does not have a flagship university like some states do.

Wrong again, but being dumber, you probably believe that. Lets see engineering we are stronger, @Gonzo you want to reiterate about ISU better in the education department, and any STEM stuff. I will give you theater and 17th century literature; Lord knows those are lowing paying degrees to obtain.

Since the storm hit CR/Marion and I spent time cleaning up pretty massive damage at my parents house, seeing how life can deliver a lifechanging 180 in an instant, made me realize how silly I've been slinging my Hok snark on here. Would much rather avoid the mind numbing arguments and talk music, movies, smoking/BBQ, bourbons, maybe a little politics.

That said, yes I agree, unless you're a prestigious national private or an elite public university like Michigan, UVA, UCLA, UNC, etc., making blanket assessments that university A is better than university B usually makes no sense. Some programs at A are way better, some programs at B are way better. As you said. And obviously the best elementary teachers come from ISU.

So really the asterisk is where going to get less wins, in case Purdy wins the Heisman and in case we're ranked
