All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Still confused why you just didn't get the Ag. Engineering degree and be out in 4ish years? Then again 18 year old kids don't always make logical decisions.
I‘m not doing a great job of explaining lol. My major before I switched to Ag. Engineering was Ag. Systems Tech. I then switched to Ag. Engineering. Sorry lol, not a great job explaining it.

Ok, I thought you said that you went to Iowa and got an Engineering degree and then went and got a second degree at ISU that was Ag Tech. Did you get a degree from Iowa or am I just confused? Did you like Ag tech better? My son is getting a minor in that along with his Ag. Bus. degree. He could double major but will be out in 3 years and was told a minor would help him in the job searching. Ag Bus and Ag tech don't overlap enough to make a double major easy like a Finance and Marketing double major is.

No I transferred out of Iowa after about two years as I saw Civil Engineering wasn’t going to be for me. I looked around for a while and decided to stay close to home and went to ISU to go into
Ag. Engineering. Best choice I’ve ever made. Ag. Tech really was something I was considering and probably something I would have enjoyed but I decided to go into Ag. Engineering and I really am I happy I did. I really was thinking of going to Purdue but I ended up staying home so I could help my granddad and my cousins on the farm.

Gotcha now. Glad it worked out for you. Not very many 18 year olds know exactly what they want to do. Heck, I'm much older than that I'm not 100% what I really want to do, but have a family, have older parents and and decent path to a good job with great flexibility and next thing you know 10-20 year have passed and you just decide to ride that wave where ever it will take you.

Yeah I’m glad it worked out too. I loved attending both colleges and got to have great experiences. Probably annoyed my parents a bit when I transferred out because they weren’t having to pay for housing lol.

You literally said we were maybe better academically
There literally is a thread on this in the general discussion forum. The updated university rankings are out and it’s not even close. someone on the thread also goes on to explain very well that Iowa does not have a “flagship” university as some other states do.
