Why take the under? CyTwins is confident you have an elite qb, rb and te's. Your defense is very good. Your coaching staff is very good. Your o-line is questionable but I've been told that's CMC's specialty so he should have them coached up. These are all things I have read posted by ISU fans. Even if CMC doesn't prepare for the non conference schedule, S. Dakota isn't good and UNLV will be bad this year under a new coach. Iowa will probably take a step back from the previous few years. That's 3-0 right there. You get OK, Baylor and KSU at home which shouldn't be difficult considering all of the above. @ Texas, @TCU and @ OSU are never easy wins but should be this year given all of the above. You don't think you can get to 10-2 and a win in a bowl game?
I just saw a very respected poster here saying they'll be expected to/should win 10 with 2 toss-ups. Unless you think they get crazy unlucky and go 0-2 on the questionable games I don't see how someone could take the under.
Only one Iowa poster is on record here as having gone to a prestigious grad school, so he's automatically respected right?
with a loss to Iowa and who else? I'd include Kansas if Pooka Williams is back. He's good and seems to have your number.
I never said they were good, I only pointed out that BF was making an effort to get his playmakers in space.
It did later on in the season. Against Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, and USC we played better in offense because he made those adjustments.
Agree, and the easy size-based Darren Sproles comparison is tempting. But as a data guy it's hard to ignore Darren Sproles being the exception rather than the rule at that size.

ps: I did not know that Sproles was born in Iowa, at least according to his Wikipedia as I was double-checking that he really was 5'6''.
Not having to be badly embarrassed will certainly be the one bright spot when this season gets cancelled.
