Iowa Football Recruiting

You're actually kidding right?
No - I would really like to know your opinion on this. If Kirk was "in the know" and complicit in all of this, why are players willing to give him a pass? Why are they allowing this to be pinned on one guy. From previous posts, Hankins was pinning this all on Doyle. Why isn't he equally upset with Kirk?

For God sakes man have you been following anything in regards to this situation? Lol

Can you expound on this? What rules did Kirk have that were racist against black players? I have heard one or two stories about coaches at Iowa (unclear which ones) telling players they should cut their hair. I would consider that racist, though It’s not clear that was an actual rule. Outside of that, what were the racist policies? Are you claiming that not being able to wear hats or earrings is racist?

I would say it mostly has to do with that Kirk was not viewed as the bad guy in all of this because he was not the one behaving negatively directly towards the African American players. Doyle and Brian were the ones that were making these gross comments and therefore are the ones deserving the blame. Some players do think Kirk deserves blame though and he was definitely part of the problem. If Kirk wasn't the problem and was a saint in all of this, he would not currently be being investigated for racial disparities within the program he runs.

How do you know there is an issue if no one brings it to your attention? How do you know they knew about it and chose to ignore it?

Didn't Barta even mention that they knew from a previous discrimination report that there were issues. Seems they were ignoring it until it blew up in their face.

Here you go again attributing “gross comments” to Brian. What is Brian accused of saying that was racist? So far we have him asking a black player wearing a ski mask if he was going to rob a gas station. That is the only allegation we have heard so far.

Ferentz and Doyle nailed the good cop/bad cop routine for the most part but my source is concerned he left a paper trail for when he wasn't great at being the good cop

"There was definitely prejudice and racial mistreatment towards many players / coaches within The University of Iowa's Football program! Subtle AND blatant! Several players and families (good people) experienced it! Much needed change and improvement! #GoHawks" - Kevonte Martin-Manley

You literally said he should be put on administrative leave for that comment

You are reading mostly vague and conclusory tweets from players, and using them to attribute comments/actions to specific coaches and label them as racists without any details. That’s completely irresponsible.
