Just started listening to the podcast that was mentioned above, and wow - right off the top, an interesting quote from a former Iowa player about all of the allegations that have come to light over the past week:

Yes, KKKF made fun of them for listening to Kenny Chesney and wearing their cowboy hats.
It doesn’t have anything to do with how the black players felt. They didn’t opine, and obviously can’t opine, on how another individual feels. What they did say is that, based on firsthand experience, they know for a fact that some of the allegations are exaggerated, and some of them are completely fabricated. You are going to discount their own personal experiences because they are white?
The absolute greatest thing is that if you mention this on reddit their only response is that you’re a (and I quote) little brother syndrome affected fan
Are we really to the point in society where no public figure can have unintentional faults? Kirk obviously can’t comment on the investigations but he seems to committed to making things right. At some point I would think that it matters that the good that people do outweigh their faults. There hasn’t been any credible push to have him fired that I have seen.
seems like we have a lot of posters in here who likely search social media all day for someone to get fired.

It's funny how just 5 or so years ago, damn near the entire fan base wanted him fired because he wasn't winning quite enough. Fast forward to today's current events and not a single Iowa fan that I've seen is calling for his head. So...

Yeah, if they'd gone 7-6 or less last year, there'd be a lot fewer people lining up behind him.
