but yet he wouldn’t apologize to any former players?
And he says he hasn’t read any accusations but 1 article? GTFO

If he apologized, you would all be saying “he thinks he can just apologize and everyone will forget this ever happened.” No matter what he does, it isn’t going to be enough for any of you.

I thought the questions were soft for the most part. I dont care if Duncan likes pineapple on his pizza or how annoying he is on Twitter.

I thought Howe would come out on fire but I dont know if he even asked a question.

It is what it is. I have no problem with people being fans of Iowa. I get it. You can like the team and maybe not like what some of the people involved with the team have done. Where I draw the line is this slob-knobbery directed at Kirk. As Bomani said, there's no way he hasn't known over the last 20 years. Let's not give him credit as some reformed man for a completely self-inflicted problem.

I love how journalists love the idea of being journalist until they have to do actual journalism.

Morehouse and Doc went on his huge rant how they felt partially at blame for all this by not actually asking the questions and then do that. Unbelievable

Those questions were awful.
Randy asked at the bandgate presser if theres fan issues at ISU because a tent burnt down outside of Hilton due to an ice hut heater.

Take that question and plop her into today's Iowa presser and it would have fit right in.

All local media sucks.

Lol like they would let Howe ask a question cmon

Fales thinks they did what they needed to today to get this out of the National spotlight.
Not one question about Doyle (we knew that).

Unbelievable

Their strategy might work against them. This was going to fall of the national radar well before it fell off the local radar.

They remained mum for almost two weeks, and the national media hadn't done much with the story. There weren't any sound bites or clips to play. Now there is.

Had they come out before some of the other folks got busy tweeting, posting articles and holding video streams, they may have been able to say "hey, we addressed this, we're moving forward to correct some things." Now there is plenty to show along with the press conference.

He actually took full responsibility for the entire situation, and said that as head coach everything falls back onto him. Are there actually people on this website who are saying he refused to admit he made a mistake? Because that would be a pretty stupid conclusion to draw from that presser.

No, he didn't at all. He pulled the same **** he always does and your stupid fanbase and the worthless sports media eat this garbage up. It's the old, "I didn't do anything wrong or know anything, but ultimately as the leader of the program, the buck stops with me."

It's the nutless dodging of responsibility veiled in fake accountability that only a true moron actually buys. It's the cousin of the "I'm sorry that people were offended" non-apology.

I mean FFS, do people actually expect him to come out and say "It's not my fault, not sure why your asking me about this?" Because that would've been the only way he would've taken LESS actual responsibility.

Whether it's getting a hell of lot further down the road to criminal action than Art Briles ever did on sexual assault cases, the one-time Rhabdo award, or this, it's all the same.

Pretty clear actions by KF that he was involved, aware, and had the back of people heavily involved. Yet the same "taking responsibility" by claiming he didn't do anything, know anything, and shouldn't have any repercussions. Guess what, when you actually don't admit to doing anything wrong and push to have no consequences, that is NOTHING CLOSE to taking actual responsibility.

Howe knows if he pushes any more he loses his gig straight up.

He should probably know better than to publish an article that is an unsubstantiated piece of trash. I would agree if he pushes past that point, he is probably done.

Also, for Howe wanting to be a voice for all former players, I find it odd he hasnt retweeted the Washed up Walkons pod from last night. Those guys played with a lot of the guys who are right in the middle of this story.

Who are the washed up walk-ons?
