Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

5 current commits decommit from the 2021 class.
And the 2022 class comes in at national 45 or lower.
The former part of that bet relies on whether Kirk survives this. I think most kids are pretty solid in their commitment right now.

I don't understand how anybody can treat people like that and then sleep at night. The next investigation needs to be all the injured players who were forced/ shamed into playing with their injuries. Plenty examples of that too.

It looks like 90% of Iowa fans don’t believe DJK. Tons of denial. Looks like other former players are backing him and it’s still not enough for them to listen.

DJK tried making these same claims 5+ years ago and got hammered by a bunch of his teammates for being a liar, including other minority players like Adrian Clayborn, Tony Moeaki, Julian Vandevelde, Rafael Eubanks, and Dace Richardson, as well as a number of other teammates, most notably Riley Reiff. I will say, the accusation that Ferentz cryptically warned his family before calling in the feds to conduct a drug bust is an entirely new one.

This whole thing just confirms what we’ve known for years. The Iowa fan base is one of the most delusional and scummy groups around.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kirk makes it through this, but it seems like there’s more and more evidence that he needs to go

The stuff about Ferentz trying to control what DJK said to the media and how he dressed is absolutely true. I also 100% believe that Ferentz told NFL scouts to stay away. But the claim about being forced to wear a trash can on his head is absolutely a lie, and the conspiracy that Ferentz called in the drug raid is looney tunes.

Hoping this could be discussed in a separate thread. I know CF isn't huge on staying on task but this should really be about these men and their desire to end the racial shaming

Seems a little harsh to me, but this was the national media’s reaction the last time DJK tried to pull this stunt:

If you think the trash can story is a lie you’re out of your mind. It was actually during a coaches clinic day and was widely discussed at the time.

Mostly calling out the Iowa fans who are complaining about the team kneeling during the anthem this fall.

also plenty of Iowa fans calling Kallenger soft for not wanting to be continuously mocked for a learning disability. That too.

The DJK thing, just, wow. Thats 16th century personnel management.

Feeling more like Kirk is a control freak nutjob, and Doyle is the enforcer doing the Code Reds. That would explain the loyalty to Doyle- he knows where all the bodies are buried.

Actually, KF confirmed he can’t EVER recall in his ENTIRE 21 Year Tenure a conversation of racial issues with one of his players or players parents.

To be fair I have no clue who is lying or who is trying to cover their A$$ here, but I do hope the truth comes out and the chip fall where they may.

The coaches that knew about the kid with the learning disability and still frequently got mocked by them really probably don’t belong in any kind of educational setting in my opinion.

To me that makes him look like he does not care to address this. It it inconceivable that mixing young people (and coaches) from dozens of different backgrounds for 20+ years and racism NEVER came up. Right.

It's like his statement about "I wish someone had come to me sooner." Wow Kirk. Obviously no one felt comfortable coming forward. Now that's a winning culture. Or they did come forward and you "Can't recall" that.
