It troubled me when KF said that he wished these players would have come to him first before posting on social media. That's how he's handled everything at Iowa all these years. He's always handed out his own punishment behind the scenes when players got in trouble instead of having law enforcement get involved for just one example.
Then he didn't allow his players to have free speech and post on social media. Also always had rules with VERBAL commits that if they visited another school, he would take their offer away. And the list goes on and on and on.
EXTREMELY controlling person. And it sounds like from a lot of these tweets, that KF, Doyle, and BF would all tell the black players how they should dress, what music they should listen to, etc, etc. And it wasn't just while in the football offices either.... several players said they were to dress a certain way while just walking around campus too.
And from the sounds of a lot of the tweets too.... if you didn't follow all these rules.... don't expect to see any playing time either.
If anyone believes KF wasn't involved in creating this atmosphere.... you're just kidding yourself, or you're not too bright.

In 10 minutes Fox Sports radio (kxno) said they'll be discussing this. It'll be interesting what Lavar Arrington says.
I don't mind the rules on how they dress while on campus or on U of I property. It is an image thing for the program and these players get clothing to help with that. The rest, IMO, is that as long as they aren't getting into trouble, then you let people be themselves.
What Worley was referring to was that alot of white folks are up in arms over a statue but rarely get angered by decades of racist police brutality. This is the result.
Might be a good precedent to actually do something about racism.
Sure, that statue should not have been defaced. But it is just a freaking statue. Black Lives are being cut short and much of white America complains about vandalism. Jeesh.
So, if Iowa has had three black starters in the past 40 years, that's great and the tweet was off. BTW, who are they, for the record.
It appears the protesters must of complied with the Mayor's request to stay off of I-80 last night.
Ive been very against racism and police brutality since I can remember. Its okay to think more than one thing is not okay. Does not mean they are equal obviously. I agree its definitely just a statue and I appreciate those who explained to me it'll probably be salvaged. I just personally wish it wasn't vandalized.
However like some have said, my guess is the people who did it probably didn't know or care why it was there in the first place.
Above all else, I do hope this results in change because the U of I actually cares and wants to be better not just for PR. I dont have all the answers but its obvious society needs to not only be better at listening but to actually followup with action not just talk.

Does anyone really believe that these protesters, as they are marching around IC and spray painting everything in sight, that they would stop when they got to the Nile Kinnick statue and say..... "hey, we can't spray paint this statue.... it means too much to the fans of Iowa football!".
If you think that.... you have a WAY over inflated ego about how much Iowa football matters to most people.
Doyle needs to go. If it is found that Brian (or any other coach) has a history of making similar comments, he needs to go too.
It has been rumored for years that any media person that crossed the line and wrote too many unflattering articles about EIU would see their access to the program diminished.
I tend to think that forced the reporters to play ball as a way to get access to the players and coaches so they could do their job. Without that access they would be fired from their job. So some were forced to go along with the propaganda that EIU was laying out there to be able to continue to do their job.
Miller used to talk about it from time to time on his podcasts, when he was called in and read the riot act by a former MBB coach at EIU for the way he handled a players rape case.
If you want to cover EIU from the press row, you will play ball or that access will be made a lot more difficult.
