Iowa Football Recruiting

Lol I have no idea what you're talking about. Parker had no answer for Slovis and you couldn't run the ball. You would have been screwed
No idea what I'm talking about? You use more "ifs" than anybody. "IF" your football team gets better you will win more games. "IF" Prohm can land an All American caliber transfer you will win more basketball games. "IF" it was a conference game we would've beat Iowa. the IFs are tiresome and for losers.

It was pretty obvious Iowa had no answer for Slovis but OK

Who's an all-american that's transferring schools? Lol

I think it's fair to say that Iowa State has had some very talented WR's and RB's while also admitting we wished we won more games.

That is fine the point was Iowa has a football culture and style of play that has consistently led to more wins that isu has had. It isn’t about having great WR’s or RB’s or even a great offense if you give up more points on defense or have poor special teams it just doesn’t matter you lose games.

The Holiday Bowl was a perfect example of this. The offense needed to carry more weight than it did during the season and the coaches knew that. USC’s strong point was there offense. Comparatively their defense and special teams weren’t as good. So Iowa was aggressive with the offense to keep the ball away from the SC offense as much as possible and hope they eventually make a mistake or two. It worked perfectly.

Opposite of the SC game was the Michigan game where their best unit was their defense. In that game the last thing you wanted to do was give Michigan a short field and give their offense confidence.

When isu goes out and consistently wins more games than Iowa then clone fans can say how much better isu is than Iowa. That day isn’t today.

Iowa loses if Slovis doesn't get hurt. Parker had no defense for his deep ball and Iowa couldn't run the ball to keep it away from him
Wrong. Epenesa and the defense were just starting to take the game over when Slovis got hurt. It would have been a closer game potentially but we still would have won. Plus the USC defense had no answer to ISM, Smith, LaPorta, Tracy, Ragani, and Stanley. Sorry Twins but even you should know this.

Here's the correct answer to all of this.. No one, I repeat, no one knows how the game would've gone had Slovis not gotten injured. None of the "if" arguments matter. What happened happened. End of discussion.

I mean yeah it's just my opinion but it seems more like common sense based on how things were going
You are right, it's your opinion, however it sounded like you were speaking out like it was a fact that with a healthy Slovis, USC 100% wins the game. That's just no true. It for sure looked like USC was gaining momentum, but there was a ton of game left and they were still behind. Anything could've happened but what did happen was Slovis got injured, USC had no answer on either side of the ball, and Iowa won.

You must've been glued to the TV. I love it! I flipped it to the Camping World Bowl for 30 seconds in the 3rd quarter and opted for an Everybody Loves Raymond rerun.

Exactly.

That wasn't my point. We had holes in the team that have thus far gotten filled (pending Harris's eligibility). We're still continuing to add to those holes as well. We don't need the best players in college basketball to be a tournament team next year.

What if McCaffery had gotten injured before the Rose Bowl and if Iowa wore the correct cleats? 2016 Rose Bowl Champs! Print the shirts!
