Iowa Football Recruiting

probably I suppose. My personal opinion is that only a fool bets on that game either way most any year. Having a good experienced QB gives you an edge but considering it's in IC who knows. In all honesty, special teams have decided a lot of these games. I had a strong feeling the 2016 game would be lopsided but that is honestly one of the few times I've ever read this game correctly.
Iowa State's special teams have been awful the last two years against Iowa.. And yeah I have no idea how next year is going to go. I'm going to wait to watch each team's first game before I have any inclination as to who I think will win the game. Even then, I'll still probably be wrong lol.

Except when we had all the momentum, and you guys got extra time to make adjustments after we burned you. The energy and excitement is hard to keep going. So you got lucky.

You guys had 2 lucky plays on offense, that was it. The rest of the game Iowa dominated everything. Heck one of those plays was directly the result of Iowa having to suffer through break in the miserable conditions of the Ames locker room. Iowa also had in issue trying to feed its players during a 10 hour game.

This is wrong. ISU was losing 3-0 and had run 1 offensive play when the first delay started.

Randy is a moron but yeah that phantom holding call was huge
No worse than the bogus grounding call against Stanley. But then he threaded an absolute needle to convert a long third down, into a first down. Hawks don't let bad calls take them out of their game.....they're just built that way.

Wow I'm not sure what game you were watching.

Lucky?

How was the TD play to Milton lucky at all? And how was the trick play lucky? If those plays are lucky, then so was Iowa State running into each other the final play of the game lol.

And Iowa didn't dominate the game. They rarely made it into the red zone and settled for field goals the entire game. We just couldn't capitalize on our end either.

Neither team was dominant. One team had to win the game at the end of the day and we helped with that because our outside jammer decided it'd be a great time to lay out his teammate lol.

the breaks if anything favored ISU.

I'm not sure how one could possibly think that having to play on a ****** rain soaked field on the road in hostile territory and spending 10+ hours having to stay focused and fed on the road is somehow more beneficial to the visiting team.

There has never been a bigger advantage for a home team in the series than this, ever (or at least my lifetime). Yet Iowa wins, even though ISU had every break imaginable considering all of this.

You focus on one for an entire year but then 10 hours becomes too hard? Lol

LOL is right. How was that called grounding?! Oh well....when Iowa plays at Mid American Energy Stadium, they shouldn't expect to get the calls. The Hawks understand that and are built to overcome it.

No idea what you're even talking about so obviously it had to have been a huge call lol

Sssshhhhhh, this isn't the place for real reasonable discussions.

....and windows that reflect sun-light at their sideline.
It actually wasn't windows. It was that the temperature on the Iowa State sideline was around 130 degrees, while it was like 90 degrees on the Baylor sideline. We tried to put up tents, however Baylor complained and said we hadn't pre-approved them before the game and the Big 12 chimed in and said we had to take them down.

That's also not why we lost that game. We lost because our defense let Baylor's offense drive down the field and kick a last second field goal with a guy who hadn't made a field goal in his entire career. Lol
