Iowa Football Recruiting

Agree. Baylor having press box windows aiming sun-light at the opposing team sideline is shady. Clones definitely have a legit gripe on that one. Hopefully the big12 makes Baylor cover up those windows in the future.
Agree but you know i was talking about the game against TOE.

Been hearing that for a long time in football and basketball. You did end up backing it up in basketball once in the last 4 years though, so congrats on that.
You haven't heard it from me. I'm telling you it's going to happen.

It will be a closer game than it should be. It always is. But I agree we win. I know they will plan all off season for this game, but we will be much better than Iowa so I expect us to pull this one out.
Sorry, it won't be close.

No doubt. I hear Ferentz has had the team playing out Iowa vs Iowa State game simulations on NCAA Football 14 (on Xbox), since the COVID19 started. Iowa should be well prepared for this one.

I agree, ISU has managed to keep it closer than it should have been the last few years, but I've come to expect that being ISU Super Bowl and all.
Last year so many weird things happened. Every time we got momentum, there was a delay or a terrible call. I just feel like everything went Iowa's way, and they barely won. I fell good about Brock and CMC taking care of business this year.

You do realize that every delay and every re start is 10x harder on the visiting team than it is on the home team who is familiar with the field. I mean Iowa couldn't have had more harsh conditions to play in, ISU had it easy.

If the season starts on time and the non-conference schedule is played, I reckon Iowa will be a 3 point favorite.
probably I suppose. My personal opinion is that only a fool bets on that game either way most any year. Having a good experienced QB gives you an edge but considering it's in IC who knows. In all honesty, special teams have decided a lot of these games. I had a strong feeling the 2016 game would be lopsided but that is honestly one of the few times I've ever read this game correctly.

Except when we had all the momentum, and you guys got extra time to make adjustments after we burned you. The energy and excitement is hard to keep going. So you got lucky.

Wait, did Iowa actually win last year? Last I heard Randy Peterson was looking for video footage of a controversial holding call that supposedly cost the clones the game. He actually posted out a request on Twitter (soon after the game) - for any info leading him to the footage, so hopefully someone was able to help him out. I know it's tough finding replay video of college football games these days. So basically, I'm just waiting for Randy to make the final call on whether that was a legit Iowa win or not.

I think Randy was then going to investigate the controversial press box windows (at Baylor Stadium) that reflected sun light directly at the ISU sideline...and ultimately cost the clones the game against Baylor (last year). Hopefully he will have his investigations wrapped up before the new season starts....but who knows, with the COVID19 going on.

Randy is a moron but yeah that phantom holding call was huge

There were 2 delays I think. One happened after ISU's first play from scrimmage on offense and then you came out of the delay and ran the trick play with Jones for a touchdown.

The other delay came early in the 2nd quarter either right before or right after Iowa punted and was trailing 7-3.
