Iowa Football Recruiting

You wouldn't?
No I wouldn’t, that’s not where they will be year from now. ISU had a top 15 class this time last year and finished top 40. I mean Kansas was top 15 for awhile. Still a long way to go for recruiting for the big boys. Most 4/5 stars commit in the summer/fall.

Hmmm.

Honestly I wonder if this recruiting cycle will make him look a little harder the next time a bigger program comes calling. It has to be pretty demoralizing getting kicked around like this by your in-state rival and might make him question whether he can really accomplish what he wants to accomplish at Iowa State.

Why would a bigger program come calling if he can't recruit?

I don't recall ISU finishing with a top 40 class. Hawks have a decent shot at bringing in a top 25 class. It's a great start and they seem to be getting their targets. One huge difference so far is the offer lists these recruits have. Much better than years past. This is also maybe the best class ever of in state talent. More D1 level recruits in Iowa this year than I have ever seen before.

Heard this all in 2017 with Eno, Chevy and the Texas boys

They weren't. 46 and 45 on both sites. This class is looking more like 56.

Alex Halsted told me it was a top 40 class last year, I think he would know.
