This will be his 5th year in Ames. His first class will be redshirt seniors
Iowa is 24-1 vs non bowl teams over that period, and is 23-18 vs bowl eligible teams. Iowa on average plays over 8 bowl eligible teams each year. CMC has faced 32 bowl eligible teams since he got to Ames. ISU plays more cupcakes than Iowa does.

I’m pretty sure Mac won 9 in his fifth season, and that was after resurrecting the program from the absolute bottom.
Honest question, if you’re not expecting a 9/10 win season minimum this year, when does everyone start to get restless?

Should CMC be fired if he underperforms for the second year in a row? You said minimum of 8 wins last year if Purdy doesn't get hurt. CMC couldn't even get to the bare minimum you set last year.
I mean it's funny you try to compare yourself to the better teams in CFB and when you get called on it you compare yourself to Iowa State. Very telling

They’ve apparently been stockpiling for years now, figured that would be built in to the expectations now and accounted for. You don’t think your staff has been better evaluators and developers for the last 5 years?

You gotta get over being horrible man. I mean ISU isn't horrible now, you don't have to take more pride in 7 wins and a cherry picked SOS, and try to tear everyone else's wins down.
And after five years of assembling their own guys the best you think they can do is 6-3 in conference? Even with a cakewalk non-con, Texas a disaster and Synder gone? Wow. I’d personally be disappointed with a team this talented doing anything worse than 10.
