Iowa Football Recruiting

Why’s that?
Talking top QBs in next years draft. Lawrence and Fields of course but mentioned a few others but didn't mention Purdy. I certainly think he belongs in the group after the first 2 mentioned. Was just a bit surprised they didn't mention him. Most of them were underclassmen. Morgan from Minnesota was discussed at length and I think him and Purdy are reasonably comparable.

I wouldn’t put much stock into next years draft talk right now. Both Kiper and McShay has Epenesa at #3 pick in this draft last year and we saw how that turned out.

When’s the last time the Cyclones finished a season ranked?

I don’t remember puffing my chest out about ISU players drafted. You literally made a point to show that Iowa had the 5th or 6th most players drafted the last 3 years , then in the same breath say “Yeah, and Iowa was one of the 25 best teams 2 of those 3 years too”. There is no way you can be dense enough to not realize there is something not adding up there.

LOL, Iowa has 47 wins in the last 5 years. Only these P5 teams have more:

Clemson 69
Bama 66
OSU 61
OU 58
Georgia 54
LSU 51
Wisconsin 52
Penn St. 49

You should provide average SOS over those 5 years for each team. Especially considering Iowa racked up 12 of those wins in the Fake ID season

2020 Draft Picks

Big 12 - 21 / 10 teams (2.10)
Big Ten West - 18 / 7 teams (2.57)

Not super happy with how the West did, but it could be worse.

We get it. We return a lot. Is this going to be the new angle since we're so loaded? We are so talented that if we don't win 10 games it's a failure by CMC?
