Iowa Football Recruiting

Sounds like Beau Stephens committed to Iowa. Offensive lineman with offers from LSU, Michigan, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, and a whole bunch of others.
Forget the SOS talk that's been rehashed over the last 80 pages, lets get some more info on this.

Would be huge. Holding my breath until I see something else.

do better. Clones would've been the 4th best team in the BIG 10 west last season at best. Hawks would've been 2nd or 3rd in the BIG 12.

I'm guessing ad revenue is extremely low right now

I didn't cherry pick anything. I've always used Sagarin and did in 2017 when it said Iowa had a tougher schedule than Iowa State
Here's the kicker......you like them for SOS but not for rankings! LOL. Because their rankings take their SOS into account and that left the Hawks ranked higher than every Big 12 team but Oklahoma. And we can't have that!

Wrong. Oladokun also posted offers from Indiana, North Carolina, and Duke on his twitter page that never got updated on 247. That makes 14 P5 offers other than Iowa, same as Iowa State’s entire recruiting class.

You going to apologize now for calling me names when I was right and you were wrong?

Were these actual offers or twitter pictures his mom took? I know Hawkeye fans accept both.

You think we take another OL this class? Maybe Alt?
I think we take at least 1 more. Might just come down to who commits first. Hard not to be really excited about the way this class is shaping up. I think it's a combination of having one of the best instate classes in years and Hawks success in the draft as of late.

Could be right. Iowa's OL is going to be impressive for quite some time from the looks of it.

For him to get there he is how the math works out(i am using wiki) as the source for his numbers to date. If he coaches three more years and qualified for a bowl game every year and every season had 12 regular plus 1 bowl game that would be 65 games. He would need to have three 10 win years in a row. If he went 5 years he would he would have to win better than 68% to get to .600. Would you want him around for five years?

At his current rate, of course I would. I think he has a lot of life left in him. He seems more dedicated and as enthusiastic as ever. His recruiting has actually been on the upswing and I think the 21 class has the chance to be his second best class at Iowa.

Third bump for @Brodie0

Like I said. You and I both know Jones is a better WR than anyone Iowa has had since McNutt

I’m not going to respond to this because I already know how it is going to play out - I tell you who I think was better, you say something like “LOL you can’t be serious with that? Jones had better stats than Player X against a way tougher schedule.” Then I respond by pointing out Iowa played against better defenses, and around in circles we go for 6 pages. No thanks.

So I'm right. That's all you had to say. Nobody has over 2k receiving yards like Jones since McNutt

What do you think of the new Iowa verbal?

I love it. #8 class ATM. I know that will go down, but the average recruit ranking of close to 88 is very impressive. Having Wirfs go in the top 10 tonight will be the cherry on top of this day.

We’re basing it off career receiving yards? So all Smith-Marsette has to do is put up 783 receiving yards this season, and you will think that he is better than Jones?
