***Official 2019-2020 Transfer Thread***

is there a connection with Baylor and him or is that just somewhere that seems like a fit for him? idk how realistic of a target he is but he’d be a homerun he’s a stud

He's from Texas and Baylor recruited him out of high school hard IIRC. I don't know how he ended up at Evansville. He has to be pretty old by now

Yeah it's almost the worst possible scenario. Like Fran McCaffrey can miss on a couple recruits because none of his guys go pro. However, if you miss on two recruits and two go pro. It spells doom. I just want a couple good 4 year guys like Ejim. No threat to turn pro early but really good college players.

You realize as your example you just picked a guy named player of the year in the Big XII? A) there is only one per year; B) you just asked for two of them!;)

That's a valid point. But, I can't consider someone who didn't contribute at all while he was here, a hit. I also don't think he would have ever had much impact here, due to being stuck behind Morris. But, obviously he's less of a miss than guys who transferred down a level and still never did that much.

I won't dispute the definition of a miss, but to say a guy hasn't contributed at all seems spoken by someone who has never attended a practice. To say they never contributed in a game directly might be more accurate, but how hard they push the starters/rotation players (Prohm only uses 7-8 generally and there are 13 schollies) does in fact contribute in a game.

Saw George Conditt liked his transfer announcement. I'd be happy to go after him again. But not sure what the coaches thoughts are.
I think he'd be a solid addition and at this point, we're in no position to be picky.

This dude is a stud
I was confident a couple of weeks ago that there would still be quality players transferring for a while and missing out on that initial phase of transfers wasn't as big of a deal. My feelings are starting to change a bit considering we're getting to the end of April. I would guess there will be another group of guys that decide to leave their school in the coming weeks, but man it'd be real nice to land a guy or two before that happens.

Also around the draft. And summer grades may open a few, plus exemptions enticing people.

Unless this staff has totally been outed in coaching circles, we’ll land someone.

Gomez to San Diego State (sorry if this already has been posted)

Terrell Gomez...Welcome to the Mesa. The graduate transfer from CSUN averaged 19.8 points per game last year and led the nation in free throw shooting. He is immediately available to play next year.
