I'm conflicted. It's great to have Harris back for another year, but it comes with 2-3 years tied to Cousins. There probably wasn't going to be much better options, but I'm curious whether Bridgewater was contacted. He seemed to leave on good terms, and played really well for Orleans.
I've resigned myself to the fact that Cousins is the QB for the foreseeable future. Without getting into his strengths and weaknesses, I just don't see the Vikings being able to do anything else from a practical standpoint. Their only bet is to get something in the draft. It's possible they'll strike gold in the latter rounds, but that's catching lightning in a bottle.
Not that I think he'll get them to high levels of success, but I think the Vikings top brass has said he's their guy and they are going to build a team that works well with his abilities. Again, not that I'm a huge Cousins fan, just the reality of the situation.
