@CyTwins , can you give us your definition of a fade for this years Iowa basketball team?

Please list W/L by game for the rest of the season for Iowa so we have something on the record.

Not sure there's a metric or time frame to define it. Easiest way if you are going to be insistent about it is probably just look at what seed you think they are now and then see where they end up

Was 86-68 fiction? How about 9-12. Or the FAMU outcome, all fiction?

The more CyTwins and his faithful obsess of how Iowa is doing sure has been working for ya.

Keep it going.

Those numbers are all true. You know what else is true, Iowa has had to remove their players from the handshake line 3 times in the last 1.5 years.
Some more numbers that are true in the last 9 years. Iowa has been to the NCAA Tournament 4 times and won 3 games. They are 4-9 in the Big 10 Tournament. They have a 46% winning percentage in Big 10 conference games.

In the last 9 years Iowa State has been to the NCAA Tournament 7 times in the last 9 years and is 7-7 in the NCAA Tournament. Iowa State is 13-5 in the Big 12 tournament in the last 9 years. Iowa State has won 53% of their games in the Big 12 conference regular season over the last 9 years.
In Kenpom Iowa State has the better ranked team over Iowa in 7 of the last 9 years.

Iowa is considerably better than Iowa State this year but make no mistake Iowa State will always be the premiere basketball program in this State. That’s exactly why Foster clowned you guys. When we win in Iowa City next year I suspect that Fran will find an excuse to avoid the handshake line.

Crazy how quick Prohm destroyed what Fred built.

We already have a spacing issue with this team. Adding a guard to this team the opposing defense wouldn't have to guard would make my eyes bleed

Yes, better to look bad and lose than win with Connor. No team anywhere in College basketball could possibly benefit from having a player in the Top 5 Assist to Turnover in the nation.

Get back to obsessing over Iowa box scores.

They're douche bags.

What'd I win?

I'm running for President on the "Handshake Lines are Dumb" platform and I expect all of you to support me.

I actually don't think they are in CBB. A lot of times you hear about good things that come from them especially when the head coach can talk to the opposing players

NCAA releases the top 16 on Saturday so we should get a look at where they would be at then if they win at PU on Wednesday night.

9 years is strange metric....
I think you will find that Foster may have clowned Iowa State by committing there. Time will tell.

And all of those same things can be said after the game once people have had a chance to calm down. Underwood heaped praise on Iowa's players once he'd calmed down. I imagine Fran did the same. There's just no reason to interact in the heat of the moment like that.

Maybe, but Iowa was Kenpom #71 in 2017 (which by the way was 10-8 in conference how can you be #71 with a winning conference record. That usually is reserved for mid-major conferences) and #88 in 2018 with a 4-14 conference record. If Fran can have those failures in years 7 and 8 of his tenure then there is hope for Steve I suppose.

It’s not that strange, it’s the start of Fran and Fred’s tenures.

This whole handshake line thing is just dumb. Some people talk about is like it's some sacred sign of sportsmanship. One of the guys on here even said it was to promote "friendship" between teams. What a load of crap. It's a formality that really doesn't make a difference one way or the other. If the players and coaches choose to do it fine, if not, no big deal. Fran was right yesterday. As soon as there is any sign of hostility, get to the locker room. No sense in taking a chance things get ugly from either direction. He would have been crucified if anything had happened if he hadn't gotten his players off of the floor.

If you have something positive to say seek them out after the game. Do it like the NBA. But having to go through this formality of a handshake line is dumb.

Even college football is this way. If you want to go find someone and talk with them, do it. If you want to run into the locker room, do it. Making them lineup and shake hands like it's a 3rd grade Y League game is dumb.

So I cite multiple advanced stats showing Connor is playing better, and you say "he's not being guarded, lol". Connor is better in literally every metric.

Like everything else, you throw out opinions you can't come close to substantiating and then run from any actual facts.

You're Iowa obsession has me out here stumping for Connor freakin' McCaffery. I'm not proud.
Its like arguing with a woman scorned, best not to keep talking with him when he gets like this.
