Iowa Football Recruiting

Why didnt Epenesa play over Hesse?

Eppy didn’t start over Hesse because there is more to being a starting DE in the Iowa scheme than just rushing the QB.

Now are you going to explain how your new OL players are more “talented” than those that were on a bad line last year?

I never said just rushing the QB.
I never said the new OLine is more talented.

Calm your tits.

How stupid can you be?

We are talking about redshirt freshmen and sophomores.

How do any offensive lines in the country get better from year to year?

Wait so there is no evidence whatsoever that the players isu will trot out this year is anymore talented than the bad OL isu had in 2019?

Lines at Iowa get better by developing strength, conditioning and technique from coaching and hard work. Iowa has a long history of doing this too bad the same cant be said about isu. .

Actually that's what your head coach called him.
Actually these are the type of posts I'm referencing:
Epenesa will be the hardest to replace by far imo. He made so many game changing plays and was game planned around all year with extra blockers. Can't replace a talent like that with next man in type of players. He was a generational talent for a team like Iowa.

I have read on here from numerous Iowa posters how Eppy was a generational talent.

You dont need to defend that idiot.

Its a terrible argument. Epenesa was behind a guy that started for 3 plus years and was all conference.

ISU had back ups on the OL that couldn't beat out average to below average guys on the OL in some spots.

Generational player that was game planned around all year > Parker Hesse

The evidence is coming from speak of the coaches, and recruiting rankings/offers of the younger OL. They are more talented, need this offseason to get bigger and stronger, hence why they weren’t forced into action in 2019. It’s not hard to comprehend, but I understand why it be for you.

What evidence is there that suggests they won’t be better?
