A coach is always going to be judged on W/L's or should be anyway. I think Prohm has enough pieces at ISU that it should be a NCAA tournament team. I'm not sure why there are so many on here that seem to excuse Prohm this year.

I need to see his stats the final 10 minutes of the game. Have you found those yet?
I think the problem is ISU's start player is taking the same amount of shots as ISU "good" player. Garza takes the most shots at Iowa, because duh he is the Iowa's player. It is much harder to find shots for a C, than it is a PG. There really is no excuse that Bolton takes nearly as many shots as Haliburton takes.
His numbers are absolutely elite, especially if you look at some advanced stats. He's first the Big 12 in assist and steals. His PER is 26.1, which is great for a guard because that's a stat usually dominated by big men. He's second in the Big 12 in points produced per game.
You just have to take into account what he's working with. You put him on a different roster and he's averaging double digit assists per game easily. And if you had other threats on the floor I think his scoring would greatly increase.
It's Prohm fault in some way regardless of whether or not he has an NCAA tournament roster because he's the one building it. I agree and believe as well that looking at this team on a macro level, we should be a tournament team but unfortunately we're not. I sound like a broken record when I say this but for the makeup of this roster / team, we have got to be able to knock down the 3pt shot to compete and win games and we are not good in that category at all.
When you have a bunch of undersized guards, they have to be able to stretch the defense and make shots beyond the arc because you can't rely on them to be able to consistently make contested jumpers and layups over taller defenders.
Actually Bolton has played pretty well in the month of January and Halliburton is not a guy who's going to take 20 shots a game. He's just not.
Nobody pads stats better in meaningless games than Brock Purdy.
I honestly think you're putting too much emphasis on the Louisiana Monroe game. That game, his stats were for sure padded. Name another game he padded his stats in.
How do I find them?
He's not in the top 25 in the Big Ten in points in the final 4 min and it's not like he's scoring the 6 min before that
You are making the claim he disappears the last 10 minutes of the game. I figured you had some stats to back it up.
Or he watches every game until the end. He must watch a ton of BIG10 basketball.
I mean I've shown multiple games where he's done it but no I don't know of a season long tracking system for it. If you had it that would be great!
