Iowa Basketball's Super Bowl

Conditt is one of the 5 best players in the state but doesnt even start for ISU and plays the 6th most minutes for the Cyclones?

Yes.

#1 rated defender on Iowa/ISU/UNI
#2 rated +/- player on Iowa/ISU/UNI (Haliburton #1)
#2 rated efficiency player on Iowa/ISU/UNI (Garza #1)
#2 rated scorer per 40 minutes on Iowa/ISU/UNI (Garza #1)

So why is he the 6th man?

ISU fans weren’t quite as quick to turn to basketball season as they have been in the past. Guess they aren’t a basketball school anymore.
Still a lot of season left for Iowa State to right the ship and Iowa to completely bow out halfway through the season. It'll be interesting to see how Iowa does through the entire Big 10 schedule since the Big 10 is up this year.

Bolton is not worthy of being in the starting 5. Advanced statistics would indicate both Frederick and McCaffrey are more deserving. Frederick is far more efficient in every offensive category and it's basically even defensively. Bolton is shooting 21% from 3 which is horrendous.
Well hello there Connor, back again are we?

Can't decide which McCaffrey this is. I'm guessing 25 year old redshirt freshman Patrick

A lot of schools have a really good 6th man off the bench. Hell, even in the NBA. Ginobli was great at it.

I am going to assume Manu played more minutes than a couple of the starters for most of his career.

Conditt is the 1st guy off the bench and playing the 6th most minutes in the ISU rotation.

In this mythical starting 5, there isnt really a need for Connor with Haliburton and Green on the floor.

I agree with you that Fredrick belongs over Bolton.
