ISU had the better offense, Iowa had the better defense and special teams wasnt even close in favor of Iowa.

14/25 spots to Iowa is fair, I think.

Pretty fair.

WR was the hardest spot to pick, in my opinion.

Brandon Smith (37 rec, 439 yards, 5 TD) Missed 5 games with an injury
Tyrone Tracy (36 rec, 589 yards, 2 TD)
ISM (44 rec, 722 yards, 5 TD) Also had 108 rushing yards and 3 rusing TD

Pettway (55 rec, 676 yards, 6 TD)
Jones (76 rec, 877 yards, 2 TD)
Milton (35 rec, 722 yards, 3 TD)

Smith's production over 13 games would look something like 60 rec, 713 yards and 8 TD.

Smith only missed 4 games. He played in one game but didn't have a catch

I agree Smith's production would've gone up, but the other players production would've then gone down.

It shows Shaw only played 10 games because 3 games he didn't produce a statistic even though he played in all 13

Interesting, didnt know that.

I assume they are not counting the MN game then where he played 1 snap which was a running play.

There is NO way that Welch wouldn't be a starting LB on that team. Take off any of the other 3 but he's playing better than any of them at this point.

Right after Slovis went out. After that LaPorta catch and subsequent touch down the game was basically over.
Slovis going down completely changed the game. USC had a ton of momentum after recovering the onside kick and Slovis goes down a few plays later. Not saying Iowa would've lost the game because there was obviously a lot of time left, but Slovis was hitting on all cylinders and it seemed as if they were going to put up at least a field goal on that drive. Had he not gotten injured I could've seen the game being decided by a field goal either way.

This all obviously isn't relevant because Slovis did go down and Iowa ended up throttling USC lol. But either way.

And some could make the case that a lot of the Big 10's defenses were good because the offenses they were playing were at the JV level. It's however you want to spin the argument. Iowa's average offense of opponents in the Big 10 was ranked 79th.

Rutgers - 129 (out of 130)
Northwestern - 124
Illinois - 119
Purdue - 75
Michigan - 69
Penn State - 58
Nebraska - 56
Minnesota - 50
Wisconsin - 35

Iowa played two Big 10 teams that were in the top 50 for offense.

What offensive metric are you using? Wisconsin was #22 in scoring offense. Minnesota was #23. Penn St. was #16. Michigan was #33. Those Iowa opponents all ranked higher in scoring offense than 70% of the Big 12.
