ISR Bowl talk

well since you couldn’t formulate a response other than quoting me or saying “ROFL amirite” I just figured as much.
Whoa, we got the ROFL police here. Watch out everyone.

And your response to me saying Kelly fired his OC because he wants to make his job tougher at a bowl game was what? Coe College?

Probably more reason that he doesn’t care that much about the game - he probably should have fired him long ago.

He should have fired a 2018 Broyles award nominee "long ago" because he doesn't care about a bowl game?
I don't know about you but if I don't care about something, I'm not going to give myself more work to do in regards to it.

If he thought he was the problem with the offense, then yes. Maybe it was more work with him as OC cuz it made the team worse? I don’t know why he fired him, but i would assume it was because he didn’t think he was doing a good job. Not sure why he waited this long, but presumably because they were still fighting for bowl position. Now that they aren’t and he’s disinterested, he let him go. It’s a good thing for ISU, I would say.

Hmmm.... I read James T. Kirk's first comment as either a contract extension ploy or that the voices he's hearing about "average", "same old same old", Iowa football is "Always No Fun" etc is starting to get to him. It's all in how you interpret what he is saying. If Hawk fans are happy with a consistent 8-4 season, go to a bowl game, with no aspirations of getting to the CFP, then so be it. Chew gum on sidelines, walk back and forth, show no emotion my kinda coach!!

Holy crap you're really stretching there. Do you really think Kirk plants subliminal messages in every interview. I think it was nothing but an honest answer. He feels strongly about the BIG10 and was being complimentary towards the Pac 12. That's what coaches all do, or should do. I just read yesterday where he had commented about missing an opportunity to win the West the last couple of seasons and how he was disappointed about that. He wants to win as much as anybody. All 8-4 or 9-3 seasons are not created equally. Sometimes you're happy you got there and sometimes it feels like a missed opportunity. To be able to consistently win 8 or 9 games with an occasional 10 + win season is not a small accomplishment. Clone fans and Hawk fans alike should learn to appreciate what they have at their respective schools. Both teams have great coaches that appear to be do things the right way. I'm obviously not a Clone fan but I do have plenty of respect for Campbell and the job he's done.

Hayden Coached in three Holiday Bowls and went 2-0-1 with a winning margin of 2 points. I would say Hawks win by 1 point would be the Hayden effect.

I'm talking about playing for the old ball coach who just passed away effect
