STAFF PICKS: Xavier Foster

Of this list, two were his sons, three were life-long Hawk fans and Iowa was their dream school (Wieskamp, Woodbury, Gessell). That leaves Cook and Garza as legit recruits he has landed in the last 6-7 recruiting cycles. If the top instate talent isnt going to Iowa Fran is screwed. Next up is Tamin Lipsey. The fact Fran is even trying to recruit him is hilarious.
Garza was a product of Fran getting in on him early. Kudos to Fran for identifying he had giantism.

Iowa is a tough place to win. Only Tavernhawks, blood, or bad recruits are interested in playing at that afterthought. Fran is doing a great job given the challenge.

Foster going to Iowa city for their game tomorrow.

family going going to milk those free game tickets for all theyre worth.

as I’ve stated before, both ISU and Iowa staff are ready for this to be over with. Very draining recruitment for both parties

Is that called a Haluska?

No because one could understand not wanting to play for Larry or Morgan.

If you pick Mad Fran over Prohm, you aren't too bright. I don't want a dumb player.

Xavier Foster is George Conditt 2.0 IMO.

So yes, it would be awesome to get him because I think Conditt has a HUGE upside and will be really good for us..... but he isn't some kind of Harrison Barnes level recruit. I think both schools' fans need to realize this. He's not the level of player that you can build your entire team around and he will be your leading scorer every year, etc.

I really hope he picks the good guys on Monday. I'm trusting CyTwins that this will be the case, and yes I'll be somewhat disappointed if he doesn't pick ISU, but it certainly won't be the end of the world. It will be nowhere even close to the disappointment of Harrison Barnes and Vaughn.
