All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Blum looks like Sage's 12 yr old grandson. Who let these people write about football?

You realize that the AP Poll isn’t a definitive determination of the best teams in the country...

Iowa finished ranked ahead of all three of those schools in Sagarin and Bill Connelly’s S&P+. I’d trust both of those rankings way more than the AP poll.

What's Iowa in Sagarin and the S&P?

So 37th is more accurate than the AP poll? Interesting

I don't think any poll is accurate until at least the middle of October TBH. They all need time to get accurate data and info and right now we are only three weeks into the season. Any poll at this point in time is pretty much meaningless.

I’ve said in prior posts that none of the computer rankings are super accurate at the beginning of the season. Valiant effort though.

Oliver Martin already has 24 yards receiving on the year so I think we're pushing more towards the middle of the season than the beginning at this point

I think the game from Saturday is finally hitting you hard today. I think you were in denial and now you are in acceptance and pretty soon it will be asterisk.

Not hitting me hard at all. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Oh well

So... if a computer says 2+2=3 in August, in October says 2+2=4 and in December says 2+2=5, then I suppose computer rankings are super accurate. Way to spin it, yet again. Nice try retread!

What do you think is a more accurate ranking: a ranking compiled using 3 data points, or a ranking compiled using 12 data points? The computer rankings become more accurate as the season moves along because the sample size increases, making the data and rankings less volatile. This is pretty basic stuff.
