It is still a Hawkeye State

You'd still be saying that Stanley is someone who takes care of the ball if those 2 balls batted up in the air were picked off, Rose was able to grab the one that was laying on his stomach after making a great play on it, and Datrone Young had just grabbed the one that landed right in his hands in the endzone on a ball that Stanley had no business whatsoever throwing?

Is that all great skill by Stanley, or a lot of luck?

Hell, he's also lucky that intentional grounding wasn't picked by someone too.... he threw it to nobody, but it did hit the back of his OL.

The other made big throws in the second half and made 3-4 plays with his legs in the second half as well that extended scoring drives.

Because I think Duncan and special team decisions won/lost the game more than any other aspect.

You are a troll but that was the real difference maker last night.

Stanley made a poor decision that could have cost the hawks by throwing short on third down at the end.

If Stanley turned the ball over 2-3 times, I would not be saying that.

However, the facts are Stanley had zero turnovers so I am saying it.

The only thing about that is that Stanley threw what easily could have been 2 picks, it was just lucky the ISU defenders failed to make the play. But overall Stanley and Brock both played similarly well. Neither one was head and shoulders above the other last night.

I'm no doctor, but he should probably get that examined if true.

Duncan was clutch, especially in the conditions.

But Stanley made several plays last night that most ISU fans are choosing to ignore.

Which makes sense considering this board has done nothing but rip on him for 2+ years. It would take a lot of back tracking for people to admit he was money last night in the second half.

That's football.

And I've said Purdy is a good player for a long time and nothing has changed with that.

But you could tell who the senior was last night in terms of QB play when it become crunch time.

So because Stanley threw a bunch of bad passes that could have, and should have, been picked off..... he's a QB that "takes care of the ball"? Got it.

Gawwwd...... your Hawkeye ignorance knows no bounds does it? I don't remember Purdy ever throwing a ball last night that probably should have been picked off? Maybe there was one now that I think of it, but generally he either throws a strike or throws it away out of bounds.

Are you forgetting his last pass of the game that the Iowa safety just batted to the ground instead of intercepting?

So it wasn't "crunch time" when Stanley threw a ball he never should have thrown into double coverage in the endzone that was deflected and landed right in the hands of an ISU defender, but he just flat out dropped it? That was his senior leadership? Got it.

Purdy never did that all night. Yes, he fumbled, but I don't remember ever thinking he threw a ball he never should have. Stanley was doing that most of the night.
