Correct. But the question was Iowa State win or Big 10 West champs. And since this game means nothing to me, I'm going Big 10. I have pretty much stuck to answering the question.

Most of the reason the answer is Big 10 West champs because beating ISU means nothing for Iowa.

I can't believe that I signed up for a Cyclone Fanatic account to join this discussion. But as an Iowa fan and alum, this isnt a huge rivalry for me. Wisconsin and Minnesota are the teams/fans that I can't stand. I know that you have heard this before, but it is a much bigger game for ISU than Iowa, the game can only hurt the Hawks. A home/home with another Power 5 team would be much more beneficial for the Hawks. IMO

Thats not a reason for Iowa to play ISU. In conference games aren't a choice. Like I said, you had 2 AWESOME players. Your coach is only at ISU because Kareem Hunt beat you. Yup. With Iowa State getting better, this game will continuously be a fun one, however it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. In-state bragging rights and good non-conference win is about it.

I want you to know that I rated this optimistic because I see no possible way dan went to any sort of post secondary school.

Guy slept in a corn crib growing up. He didn’t exactly light it up in the classroom to the point where a prestigious school like Iowa western wanted him as a student.

For answering the question that was posed? I'm guessing that you will just call me names, but explain to me, why is this game more important to Iowa than the rest of our non-conference games? Winning does nothing, it really doesn't. Usually a non-conference game is to improve recruiting in that state. Not a problem for Iowa in this state.
