Listening to Williams and Ross is great. So does me joining this conversation bother you? Are you not up for an Iowa perspective? Have you been on an Iowa board, its not that much fun just trashing the other team all the time with the same people
****, I think we just got a Tavern Hawk Bingo! She mentioned almost every major Hawking point there is other than Super Bowl and little brother. What other regurgitated ********* can you bring to light for us?
Didn’t need to open because it’s easy to question hawk polls. Seeing how many tavern hawks (the majority of hawk fans) can’t read, they are randomly guessing at the poll.
Enlighten me, what does ISU football bring to the table? Montgomery and Butler were fantastic, I agree. But its not about the competition, its about the opportunity. ISU's opportunity is to beat a team that occasionally performs at a high level. What's Iowa's? Play against kids that would have rather got a scholly from Iowa?
It's hard to enlighten one that doesn't want to be. ISU has wins over 3 top-6 teams the last two seasons with a couple more road wins over ranked opponents. And 16 wins over those two years. But I'm sure that you will point out that those wins were against over-rated teams because in your mind only B1G schools matter.
Thats not a reason for Iowa to play ISU. In conference games aren't a choice. Like I said, you had 2 AWESOME players. Your coach is only at ISU because Kareem Hunt beat you. I would like to say that ISU is relevant but its simply not true. 4 bowl wins total! I didn't plan on trolling, I simply wanted to answer the question to original post. " To Iowa Fans". Sorry ISU, "Facts don't care about your feelings". Truth is Gameday is showing up because they know you are die-hards and will get pumped up for this. Which is great, but I would much rather win the conference than this game, as would you guys
I don't understand the point you are making. I would much rather play any other Power 5 school for variety. I grew up in Kalona and can't stand going back home because of this kind of mentality.

I dont care about Nebby. Its the cheeseheads I despise, not ISU. Like I said, was just giving my opinion about the question. I'm not going to troll every post on this site. But would have a conversation about Iowa/ISU any day.
Iowa should be the first choice for now. Longest tenured FBS coach, with a strong history of putting guys in the NFL. Campbell has only 3 years here, it takes some time. But he's done well so far.
You ignored the other ranked victories? @OU (4?), TCU (4) @UM (24), @OSU (25), WVU (6). Not bad for a guy rebuilding the hapless Cyclone program in his 2nd and 3rd year.
You're absolutely right about getting a Hawk's POV, which frankly I voted for you guys as this poll was obviously not going to get real results on a Cyclone fan site.
I will enjoy the hoopla of CGD. I haven't missed a home game in 21 years, so it's nice to have the National guys in our backyard for once. I've endured way too many losses over those 21 years. If we beat the Hawks great, if we don't I won't lose sleep. Bigger things for both teams come conference season.
