Iowa Football Recruiting

Gotcha. Based off your earlier post and my post replying to that, are you worried about in-state recruiting going forward?

No, the fact that Iowa isn’t offering guys whose stock rises exponentially after evaluators see them isn’t that concerning to me.

You put more weight in recruiting service evaluations than an evaluation done by a pretty successful staff?

I mean, the kid could be great and the Iowa staff could certainly be missing something with this guy. But it's going to take more than the opinion of a 24/7 evaluator making 40k a year to sway my opinion over a coaching staff with a history of identifying local talent.

Back to your original post, based off the info I provided, who in your opinion is doing better with in-state recruiting?

I'm not sure why the ISU fans are going down the instate recruits road here? Iowa has owned us in that area for quite a while I'm afraid.

The positive though is that ISU is turning things around, but CMC will need to defeat Iowa several times IMO. ISU is already getting a lot more of the instate students to come to ISU than Iowa, so I feel it's only a matter of time until they start getting the football recruits too.

I put more stock into offers personally. Dekkers had 3 other Power 5 offers. With Pederson I have no problem with Hawk fans questioning him being rated higher than a bunch of their instate guys. I like what I see from him athletically though.

Your numbers are out of date for this year’s class, and you are just assuming the lean of next years class and who knows if those 5 will even be the top guys a year from now. So it is tough to answer your question.

Lachey is going to be a stud. Excellent ball skills and runs like a gazelle at 6’6”. Just needs some time in the weight room with Doyle.
Look at the impact on the guy in your avatar. That **** is no joke.

Iowa was kind of in a weird spot on the Dekkers situation. They got an early commit from their number one QB target who has been instrumental in gaining other recruits. They were only going to take 1 QB. Then Dekkers kind of blows up, but it is also probably too late to try and get him in fear of Hogan moving on and other recruits moving because of Hogan.

Hawkeyereport posters are saying that Alabama May be closer to offering Dekkers. Any worry there Clones?

You guys have been on here saying he wasn’t that good since he committed.

So do you understand how dumb you sound now? Doubtful, but I’m trying to help you.
